Due to Sunbury Electrification works, buses will replace trains between Melbourne and Bendigo/Echuca from 8pm Friday 27 July until Tuesday 7 August (inclusive).
A temporary timetable will apply during the nine day closure. It is available below.
Melbourne – Bendigo / Echuca
All trains will be replaced by buses between Southern Cross and Bendigo. Due to V/Line bridge works, buses will also replace all Echuca trains between Melbourne and Echuca.
Swan Hill
All services will be replaced by bus between Southern Cross and Bendigo and connect with train services to Swan Hill.

*Kangaroo Flat customers: Express services from Melbourne to Bendigo are able stop at Kangaroo Flat if the driver is alerted. Please let the driver know when boarding that you need to disembark at Kangaroo Flat.
At least one morning express Bendigo bus will stop at Kangaroo Flat en route to Melbourne.
General Information
- Please allow an extra 60 minutes for your journey.
- No checked luggage.
- No pets or bikes allowed on replacement buses.
- In Melbourne, buses will depart the Southern Cross Station coach terminal located on Spencer Street, opposite Little Bourke Street.
